Day 12: Answering your Homemade Cleaner Questions

I had a couple of questions asked this week, that I wanted to provide links for, so you can try out these homemade recipes!!

Question 1: How do you get water rings out of furniture?

I haven’t been able to try this myself, but I’ve heard it works to:

heat the spot up with a hair dyer for 20 min.,
– then add a little olive oil to the wood

Homemade Mamas tried it out and posted about it.

Question 2: Do you have any natural cleaner suggestions to get mold and mildew off between shower tiles? I’m really trying to not use bleach.

Baking Soda and vinegar are two powerful cleaners. My first thought was to

make a paste with baking soda and water,
then scrub using a toothbrush, or anything with hard bristles
– allow to sit for an hour before scrubbing again.

I googled it and found this article that had several suggestions.

Finally, you can try this remedy from EarthEasy:

Bathroom mold: Mold in bathroom tile grout is a common problem and can be a health concern. Mix one part hydrogen peroxide (3%) with two parts water in a spray bottle and spray on areas with mold. Wait at least one hour before rinsing or using shower.

Hope some of this helps!! Let me know if you have other questions. I’ll either try it myself, or look up an answer!!
