Welcome back to 31 Days to Building a Cleaning Routine!
Day 26: How to clean microfiber
I pinned this great tip on my 31 Days to building a cleaning routine board! I don’t know if you have a microfiber couch or chair, but this really works! We have microfiber chairs as our kitchen table chairs. Let me tell you…NOT a great idea! Thankfully it works because we don’t have kids yet. I can’t imagine how dirty they would be all the time if we had kids.
So, if you are thinking about microfiber for kitchen table chairs…think again.
ANYWAY, how to clean microfiber!
(originally from 551 East Design)
All you need is:
– spray bottle
– white sponge
– white bristle brush
– rubbing alcohol
Fill the spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and saturate the stained area.
Don’t let it sit!! Immediately start scrubbing really hard with your sponge. As you see dirt start to come off on your sponge, switch to a new side or sponge so that you won’t spread the dirt back onto the microfiber.
Let it dry. The area will look darker than the rest of your couch and will feel kind of hard to the touch, but don’t worry. Using your bristle brush, refluff with a swirling motion the areas you cleaned.
I didn’t take a picture of the before and after, but you should really check out 551 East Design’s post!! She even has some FAQ’s on it!
