Pom Pom Drop Toddler Activity

This was a very easy to set up activity and if you don’t have pom poms, try any other lightweight circular object (marble, small ball, maybe a coin?) And who doesn’t have extra toilet paper rolls?

Supplies Needed:
  • toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, etc.
  • painter’s tape
  • pom pom balls
  • and a step stool if you want your toddler to practice steps

We had a lot of fun and even expanded to the stairs for a longer drop:

IMG_20150602_120422Skills:
  • hand-eye coordination
  • color identification (I grabbed each color of the rainbow and we said the name of the color before he would drop it)
  • climbing practice
  • practice following directions (you can ask him to drop the red one, etc.)
