This was pretty easy to make, yet gets the “wow” factor (at least it did from my husband)! Jeromina has a great tutorial, but as I didn’t have mounting tape (and didn’t want to buy any), I slightly modified the look (sorry for the quality of photos – taken with a phone camera)
Step 1: The starting point for this is to either have your gift in a white box (it’s going to show through) or add some white wrapping paper to the top of your box (which is what I did).
Step 2: Wrap your present to find the top and center portion of the wrapping paper. Free hand the letter on the wrapping paper.
Step 3: Cut out your letter and wrap the present!
Step 4: Tape middle pieces of the letter inside (if needed).
Step 5: Show it off to your spouse or friend!
Pictures, Ribbon, and Rosette
For the next gift I combined a couple of elements from these Pinterest pictures (if you click on the pictures, they will take you to the pin on Pinterest):
I followed the tutorial at susieharrisblog to make the rosette. She makes it look so easy!! Since I used ribbon instead of fabric, I think it took a longer strand to make the same size rosette. Plus the ribbon was a bit slippery and thus harder to manage. Next time, I’m going to try using burlap!!
Here are a few other gifts I wrapped this week:
This one has a hidden tag – see it on the right?
Finally, another awesome gift wrapping idea from Pinterest:
